In excessive all weapons are on steroids, your health starts at 300 and regenerates as does your ammo, and everyone starts with all the weapons. Game play is a bit different than on normal mods. You will get fragged alot no matter how good you are; so don't let that discourage you. The weapons are all different in excessive. The rocket launcher and BFG are no longer the hands down most powerful weapons in the game. Use all the weapons and pick wich ones work best for you. You may be suprised by your choices. There are no health powerups, ammo, or weapons distributed around the arena. There is armor but you'll find it much less effective in excessive. I wouldn't throw myself out in the open just to get a red armor. On team matches friendly fire is off, but it is very easy to knock teammates into enemy fire and fog pits. So don't shoot unless you have a clear target. Especially if you're using an area effect weapon.
