BTW....my ATi Catalyst Control Panel Problems are resolved...no thanks to ATi :smt019 Problem turned out to be McAfee Internet Security 7.0 - specifically the Privacy component buggering up .NET applications that run as a .NET service. Finally realizing nVidia is where its at!?! IMHO ATI blows, always has and always will. Especially their sorry ARSE drivers! nVidia has their fair share of Video Driver problems too. (I have two other computers with nVidia cards and they've had some issues with drivers - one's even my son's gamer).

Thanks Dienamic... :) It might very well be that DD problem, Dienamic. It could be the default Windows driver, and then I loaded the new drivers. Does nVidia (or anyone else) have a cleaner program to remove all traces of ALL nVidia drivers and nVidia software? And who told me it was ATI drivers tha...

Anyone know what the BIOS settings should be for a nVidia FX5500 256MB video card?

Does it need a dedicated IRQ, or will a shared one do?
