Just for me.....
Got this mailed to me from eVGA:
7 Series New Product
I wonder if it takes a day to reach Canada, cause I can't wait.
Whatcha all think? Good card?
P.S. In case y'all guessed, I'm still so pissed at ATi's lack of knowledge on their hardware/software, that I'm going to follow through on my threat and replace my gamer's ATi video card. Then I'm gonna tell them I bought a top of the line nVidia card instead of their top line AGP card. This results a shift of $1000+ in market share. I probably won't be the only one loyal customer doing this either.

Well I did it....
Goodbye ATI and welcome to my new lil friend
One more thing...SCREW U ATI!
Here's a write up on this new card: Tom's Hardware Review ATi sure doesn't value it's customers, but I see nVidia does.

In another 2 months, there will be something better.[MgA]MajorOne wrote:Whmm I give it a month or maybe two and you'll be screaming the same tune again about this card too!
One thing I have noticed about you Rock..... is nothing makes you happy!
I'll be happy when software developers actually write bug free software, that is my issue with ATi. I've also had my share of nVidia driver issues, but one thing I won't stand for, is wasting my time by stupid tech support people.
I was looking to get the next generation of video card (I like to be one generation behind - no bleeding edge for me), but my card of choice, the ATi X850XT, would still use the same buggy Catalyst Control Panel with it's uncompatibility with one of the most prevelant Security Suites on the market. To me, ATi developers did a piss poor job of testing their Catalyst Control Panel.
Remember my moto, if it ain't broke don't fix it. But in this case I made the decision for ATi. I also was having some performance issues with my 9800 so I had to update the driver to solve the problem but it just went down hill from there.
There, I'm happy now Major....

I was ready for an upgrade Killa. It would have been an ATi X850XT, but the CCC issue made me switch manufacturers too.*PyRO*Killathug wrote:You know what? I actually agree with Major on this one. Rock, stop being so picky about your video card.
I don't ask much of my card, just stable and good performance (not the BEST performance). My ATi 9800Pro didn't deliver on this, so it was time to swap it out.

OK I'll load up my G@YNESS war games without the drivers and just the base drivers that came with my CD and i'll prove to you it's your own silliness that makes you think this way!
How long has it been since I have played whuuuummmm lost count of the months. I have the ATI 9800 Pro 256MB at 256 Bits, and before you go there I told you you need a 256 MB card not a 128 which I believe was your problem!
Now you have a 256 MB card and I have no Catilyst support G@yness drivers ...... seeya on the server.
