Well after many months of TALKING about upgrading, I finally got the budget green light to upgrade:

I bought this CPU and Mobo combo at TigerDirect's Store: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/ ... 4I865-3000

but they didn't have this memory that I wanted so I'm ordering it online: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/ ... u=C13-4901

I think I'm getting this fan for the CPU too: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/ ... &CatId=795

P.S. Now I owe my wife...big time

Rocky bro i can build you a better rig then that for the same price the mobo you chose is a bad idea for the $ for the $ i would run with a Asus p4c 800 deluxe also buy 2x256mb of ram so you can run dual channel.

Don't forget that those are CDN $ prices...so lower them by 25% to compare to US$.
Prices are comparable to buying from newegg (after the exchange rate is factored in).
I also make 25% more salary wise for my comparable job in the US, so it all evens out in the end.

Okay, Memory, CPU FAN and new 500 watt power supply with DUAL fans arrived at 4:45 PM Yesterday (7 days after I ordered it...sheesh)...now I gotta get working building the thing....
